We know that by coming to terms with dying we learn to truly live. The process of embracing death includes spiritual, practical and interpersonal reckoning. What do we believe? Are our affairs in order? Do we have unfinished business with people?
Some questions to ask yourself-
Spiritual:
What are your beliefs regarding a higher power, God or mother nature? What does that mean to you? Is there an afterlife? Is there any unfinished spiritual business you need to work out?
Practical:
Have you completed a will? Do you carry life insurance? Have you made your wishes known regarding healthcare directives? Power of Attorney? Funeral Wishes?
Personal/Interpersonal:
Is there anyone in your life with whom you'd like to reconnect, or make ammends? Do you want to send that letter you've been meaning to write, to tell that person you love them? What was that thing you wanted to do before you leave this life?
